• Dec. 2, 2007 – The Pols at it Again with No Reasonable, or Reasoned, Debate in the Whole Fray
The head lines read: “Candidates rip admissions ruling” and Gubernatorial hopefuls want community colleges closed to illegal immigrants”
It seems that five politicians jumped up to take what they think is the politically safe stance on the issue when the top lawyer for the state’s community college system told the 58 campuses in the system to admit illegal immigrants. Before this the campuses set their own policies regarding who was eligible for enrollment which usually meant who ever had the money to pay for the tuition and books. Since only about 380 students in the 270,000 student system were illegal immigrants the politicians could make this easy call and not expect a whole lot of back lash from irate students who might be tossed out of community colleges. But it seems the specified policy change has started a firestorm of debate on the issue not only in North Carolina, but across the nation.
The debates seems to have a lot of misinformation passing around that those making the noise should know better. Many are saying incorrectly that illegal immigrants are getting our tax dollars in the form of grants to attend school. Really now, how silly. Illegals do not apply for any state aid of any kind for fear of being caught and sent back across our borders people!
It is true that illegals use our tax dollars when they send their children to our tax funded public schools, and it is true that illegals use our tax dollars when they are forced to use our hospital emergency rooms when they are ill, but grants for higher education, I don’t think so. And the ruling that North Carolina community colleges must accept illegal immigrants does not carry with it a ruling that makes them eligible for state or federal education grants.
While blogging on this same issue a fellow blogger asked a very good question I thought. “So if the Supremes ruled in 1982 that states must allow illegal immigrant children to attend public school from K-12, why not have citizenship and naturalization as part of their required curriculum and grant them citizenship upon graduation from high school? Then they can go to college as a citizen.”
I would answer that question if I might: Why not make citizenship and naturalization a requirement for graduation? There is only one slight issue here that would make such a law rather limited in scope ( something like the community college issue is limited in scope!): most of the children in K-12 are citizens by virtue of having been born in the United States so this requirement wouldn’t affect that many people.
The community colleges on the other hand are for older people who are merely trying to get an education and make better lives for themselves and their families. These people will I don’t doubt make a bee line to the court houses to apply for citizenship as soon as they can. Right now of course if they would apply they run the risk of being sent back where they came from. We could of course make it a law that any illegal immigrant who graduates from a institution of higher learning of any kind would have the unchallenged right to apply for citizenship. A law like this would do a lot of good I would think.
But then of course I am just a lowly blogger and and elderly old battleax at that so what do I know? BB

–>
• Jun. 28, 2007 – NEWT DOESN’T GET HIS FACTS RIGHT ON IMMIGRATION BILL
I am against the immigration bill for one very simple reason: Congress as usual is getting the cart before the horse. Lock down our borders first and then discuss what to do about the millions of illegal aliens in our country. This bill is an engraved invitation for immigrants to flood across the borders in even greater numbers than they are now. They want to get here and then claim they have been here for a longer period in order to take advantage of the bills offerings. Really stupid of our Congress but typical unfortunately.
NEWT DOESN’T GET HIS FACTS RIGHT
“Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich made false claims about the Senate immigration bill in a TV ad for a conservative group. He said it “will put…potential terrorists and gang members on a path to U.S. citizenship,” which is contrary to the language of the legislation.
Actually, the bill grants authority to deport any alien who “at any time has participated in a criminal gang.” And as for terrorists, the measure also gives the government authority to deny temporary visa status to an illegal alien if “there are reasonable grounds for regarding the alien as a danger to the security of the United States.”
Gingrich further claimed that the bill “does not even allow convicted criminals to be deported,” which is false. The bill provides for deportation proceedings for those convicted of “aggravated felonies,” which can include violent crimes such as rape or murder or even nonviolent crimes such as fraud or theft. The bill would even allow the government to toss out an illegal alien who had been convicted of three misdemeanors, such as running a red light or disturbing the peace.
Gingrich and other opponents of the immigration legislation also describe the bill as granting “amnesty.” We find that label to be misleading and a classic case of mislabeling. Several dictionaries define “amnesty” as a pardon of past offenses, or clemency. But while the legislation would allow millions of persons who are in the country illegally to remain, it does not overlook violation of U.S. law. It would require illegal immigrants to pay a $1,000 penalty for having entered the country illegally, plus $2,000 in fees, and meet several other requirements before they could qualify for a temporary visa.”

• Apr. 10, 2007 – Some Cities Welcome Immigrants with Open Arms
Hightstown, NJ. is the latest city to welcome immigrants to their city with open arms. They have a don’t ask and don’t tell policy towards illegal aliens and have found the relationships are better for all. The federal government had launched a huge raid on a apartment building two years ago and that is when problems with wary immigrants began to emerge. City father to conteract the problems did a very wise thing: they enacted a sort of immigrant bill of rights opening up many services to immigrants and never asking their legal status. Recently they even had a bilingual computer class offered to help immigrants get better paying jobs. This is a trend taking place all across the United States; an acceptance that the immigrants are here to stay and are generally productive members of the community who deserve to be recognized and helped to become assimilated into our culture and society. So as some cities ban immigrants, others are opening their doors.
While Congress sputters and delays action over the so called immigrant problem, the mainstreets of America are taking action. A poll by the Washington Post and ABC News in December found 29 percent of respondents calling immigrants “good” for their communities and an equal number describing them as “bad.” About 39 percent said they make no difference. The “makes no difference ” for all intents can be added to the good column. So that makes American’s in general not concerned about the new people down the block. We who have had dealings with Hispanics find them to be well mannered, hard warking people who just want to make a decent life for their families. Yes, there are criminals among them. There are criminals everywhere of every class and race and sex. The most however are just like you and me, and we should do more to help them become Americans citizens starting with classes to help them learn English.

• Mar. 30, 2007 – Is America Being Given Over to Minority Beliefs?
The Democrats have been hyping the incident and the lawsuit as evidence of American Muslims accusations of Islamophobia.
Thursday Republican Representative Peter T. King, (New York) ranking Republican member on the House Homeland Security Committee offered the motion that all Americans including airline passengers must be protected against lawsuits if they are to be encouraged to report suspicious behavior and possibly prevent a terrorists attack such as the one on the World Trade Centers September 11, 2001.
One would think this was a no-brainer, but surprisingly there was heated debate and several calls for order before the a procedural vote was taken requiring the Democrat’s Rail and Public Transportation Security Act of 2007 be sent back to committee with instructions to add the protective language. The vote passed 304 to 121. One wonders what the 121 were thinking!
Muslim Americans have been using our laws to gain concessions for their cultural and religious beliefs and restrictions. Here in North Carolina there have been two incidents : 1) a female Muslim demanded that she be allowed to cover her face for the picture on her driver’s license. She lost that case. However the irony in the whole affair is that in her native country she would be prohibited from driving let alone having a driver’s license face covered or not!
2) We had the case where a Muslim American wanted to use the Koran upon which to swear his oath in a court of law. His argument was that swearing on the Christian Bible was meaningless to him since he did not believe the Bible was the word of God. That case was laid to rest when it was wisely conceded that the person should be allowed to swear to tell the truth on any book that represented the word of God to him/her.
In another case: a Muslim woman is suing Judge Paul Paruk who in a Detroit Small Claims Court District 31 dismissed her case because she insisted on testifying in her own behalf while wearing what she called a “veil”, but which was in fact a full body covering called a niqub. A niqab is just one step away from the infamous burqa which obscures the eyes as well.
Her suit claims that her religious rights were violated. While the Koran does not specifically require that women wear a covering over their face, many do as a sign of piety and modesty.
In the meantime the Detroit News didn’t seem to have a clue from their headlines which read, “Muslim sues judge who barred veil” “Woman claims her religious rights were violated when asked to remove head scarf.” Paul Egan / The Detroit News March 29, 2007. “Veil”? “Headscarf”?
The hearing in this case is set for April 18 where the woman’s lawyer is asking another judge to order a stay in the case and to require that Judge Paul Paruk recluse himself from the hearing. Let us all hope the second Judge is as wise as the first.
Interestingly, this story was also aired on the blog site “Little Green Footballs” where there were at my last count 213 comments most in favor of allowing the lady, if there was indeed a lady under the “veil”? to remove herself to a country where she would be not be permitted by law to testify in any court let alone bring a suit against someone.
It has been said that the Muslims claim that if they can not defeat us from without then they will do so from within. They are using our laws against us. Or, perhaps I should be more hopeful and say they are TRYING to use our laws against us.
I am not hopeful however when we the majority of Americans have had our lives and our beliefs and our desires denied because of a handful of people who disagree with us. Atheists and other individuals have had prayer removed from our schools, the ten commandments upon which our laws are based removed from our court house steps and schools, nativity scenes removed from public parks, and the list goes on. Some say our bill of rights was written to protect the minority from the majority. What then will protect the majority from the minority?
Will we never learn?
*********************************************************************************************
Addition. My respones to bloggers who apparently found these situation entirely reasonable and my reaction that of a troll at best. I am completely amazed at how some people think:
A family, a group, a community, a country have to have rules of behavior so that they can coexist together. Driving on the highways we in the US keep to our right. People don’t drive anywhere they want or there would be chaos. Flying in the skies the air planes must be directed and stay at certain altitudes or there would be chaos. In a family there must be a head of the family whom everyone respects and listens to. The one who takes ultimate responsibility for the family or the family ceases to exist. There is a great deal of about healthcare to become a doctor an individual must spend years of study getting three degrees and then on top of that spend several more years in training in hospitals working 60 hours a week as interns before they are permitted to take a test to get their states permission to practice medicine on their own and see patients own, the same goes for teachers, museum curators and heavy machinery operators. Every thing a person does there are certain rules of behavior that is expected to be followed, rules/laws everyone knows and adheres to so there will be no confusion, no discrimination where one individuals wants are favored over the needs of the group as a whole. These rules weren’t made to harm the community, they were made over long periods of time when a necessity for them became apparent.
Would you want to step into a persons office who has put up sign that he is a medical doctor without these regulations of the state that assure you he has complied with a certain amount of required study and demonstrated a certain level of knowledge about what he is claiming he can do? Ask yourself the same thing about any of these situations I have brought to your attention with this post and honestly give an answer.
Was it because I used as examples the word Muslim? Is this what was off putting and did it make the whole point sound discriminatory? I used the word Muslim because I was relating actual cases where our societies rules were being challenged by individuals who happened to be Muslims. Rules that none of you would even think about not obeying because for the good and safety of the community you don’t want anyone else disobeying them. They are not bad or harmful rules that these individuals were trying to circumvent, it is not as if the women involved would have been violating one of their religious laws if they showed their faces. Because it is only required by the Koran that they cover their hair. In fact in their native countries where the societies are governed by the laws of the Koran women aren’t even allowed to drive. But ask yourself this: What if a person driving an automobile hit your automobile and your spouse and child were killed. This person in order not to be identified pulled a mask over their face. Once more their driver’s license was also distorted with a mask over their face. How could you identify that person in a court of law as the person who killed your spouse and child? A group of masked people came into court and you were told to choose the correct one to place the responsibility of killing your spouse and child. You couldn’t and so there would be no justice for you. The killer would go free to drive and kill again and you would live the rest of your life with pain and anger at the injustice. Now go up and look at the case of the driver’s license and the case of the small claims court.
While you are reading the original post you might also notice that the one about using the individuals own book in which he feels are the words of his God I find perfectly reasonable. I t won’t harm the community to adjust this ruling and it certainly makes more sense than the swearing to tell the truth on a book you don’t believe in. Using the Bible for this swearing process fit the needs of the community in that this country was for centuries basically a Christian country. Now that we are getting large population of others it behooves us to be willing to examine any rules/laws as they come up to see if some compromise can be made to protect both the community and the individual.
Societies can not exist together without these rules. That is all I asked you to do. To consider the rules that were being disobey. Consider their value to the functioning and safety of the community and then make a judgment. As I have already mentioned, in the countries where the rules these women are trying to get our courts to uphold there would be no problems at all because women are not permitted to drive and would not have a drivers license. Nor are women allowed to testify in any court under any circumstances and men do not cover their faces unless they for some reason do not wish to be known.
These then can only be deliberate and well planned efforts to disrupt our society and change our laws. Once one law is breeched can you see the many aspects of that law, or other laws that will then come into question and need to be made to conform with that law? The result will be chaos and a complete disintegration of our legal processes.

• Mar. 29, 2007 – Immigrants, Legal or Illegal, are Here to Stay.
The sooner we as a country accept this fact and do something to help those who are already here while securing our borders the less problems we will have in the future. Europe should be a lesson to us in how not to treat immigrants. After WWII a great deal of labor was needed to rebuild Europe so cheap immigrant labor was imported. These immigrants then brought their families. The Europeans used these people and isolated them in their own ghettoes. Now they have second and even third generation native born “immigrants” not having known what their parents left behind are not grateful for the low paying jobs and better living conditions. They see the disparity of their life with that of the general population. There are still language and cultural barriers and so the jobs available to these second and third generation “native immigrants” are still low paid menial work. Resentment and a great deal of anger has lead to protest, hate crimes and even terrorist activities. The reason for this is directly related to how their families were treated. Good enough to work your lowest paying menial jobs but not good enough to become one of you.
We in the United States are now making that same mistake and we too will reap the anger and resentment some day because of our neglect. At one time immigration was encouraged and the governments offered help to these newcomers. My grand parents immigrated legally to the United States from Russia in 1910 and my grandfather immediately enrolled in a local night school set up to help immigrants learn the language and laws of their new country. This was done to allow these people to move forward and become a part of our society during the later part of the 19th. and early 20th. The efforts were abandoned during the depression of the 1930’s due to the lack of money and never resumed unfortunately. But these people soon began to think of themselves as Americans and they prospered in a limited way but their children went further and the grandchildren and great grand children are also prospering because schooling became a family tradition.
We need to resume education for the adults as well as the children of these immigrants. Guilford County is experimenting with a program for immigrant children with a special school where learning English will be the main objective. This is a great start but we need to go one step further and offer night school classes in the English spoken and written language for the adults.
We recently had our apartment painted by two young men from Costa Rica who have an apartment in the next building in our complex. I saw the sign on their truck. Painting is their evening and week end job that they hope will become their permanent business. They are identical twins. One has been in the country for 9 years and the other for only two years because he has a family still in Costa Rico whom they hope to be able to bring here in the next two years. The one who has been here the longest (9 years) could understand me very well, but I could not understand him because his English is limited. He of course translates for his brother which is bad since the brother then has no motivation to even learn to understand English. I ask him if he would go to night classes to learn to read, write and speak English and he told me he “would want take school”. If we don’t as a nation make this effort for our immigrants who as I have pointed out are here to stay then we are creating a permanent underclass who one day will be “immigrants” in their own home country and then they will revolt as are those in Europe now.
I was motivated to do this post by this news story I read yesterday: “By DAVID DISHNEAU – Associated Press Writer 3/27/2007 FREDERICK, Md. (AP) The search for the missing mother of four dead children could expand to other countries, authorities said, as a portrait emerged Wednesday of an immigrant family struggling to live the American dream.”
“Pedro Rodriguez and Deysi Benitez had faced language hurdles when they arrived in the far suburbs of Washington seven years ago. They worked menial jobs to pay a townhouse mortgage, took in a boarder and had a few run-ins with the law, including a shoplifting arrest over children’s clothing.”
“The family’s dreams ended this week with the four young children dead in their beds of unknown causes and the father hanging from his townhouse banister.”
Will we never learn? BB

• Mar. 16, 2007 – Immigrants and Medicaid a No Brainer, a Must
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS March 13, 2007
Raleigh, North Carolina
Dr. E. Richard Brown, the director of the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research and a professor of the UCLA School of Public Health said, “The question is should we let them stay?” he continued “Either you enforce the law and cause the illegals to go home or you stop complaining about the cost.” That is it in a nut shell! Not two ways about it. If the state wants to deny the illegals Medicaid then they will continue to use the emergency rooms at a much, much greater cost. Much of this cost due to complications that could have be alleviated with earlier care and treatment, or Medicaid.
“ data for 317,090 paid Medicaid claims in North Carolina during the four-year study period. They found that 99 percent of the 48,391 people who got emergency Medicaid were illegal immigrants, 95 percent were female and 93 percent were Hispanic.” “ the study found that the cost of treating the emergency health-care needs of recent and illegal immigrants made up less than 1 percent of the overall spending on Medicaid in North Carolina each year studied” These people are here to stay, there is no denying that. They are setting up communities and working to bring relatives. It would quite simply be impossible to round them all up and send them back below the Rio Grade River where they came from.
And, I ask you, if your future were bleak and your family was starving would you not challenge Heaven and Hell to get them to a better place to live? That of course is a no brainier so why don’t we just start accepting these new immigrants and accepting them as a part of our communities and a part of our lives and developing programs to help them to become Americans. Basic health care is a start. English language classes in the evening for adults much as they did in the early part of the 20th. century would be a second step in the right direction. Both of these steps would lead then to better jobs and getting off of the welfare rolls.
It is not as if the immigrants come to this country to sit on their buns and live on welfare. They are hard workers. It is just that the jobs they can get don’t have medical benefits. I recently had my apartment painted. It took two brothers three evenings (they have day jobs) and they did a simply beautiful job. Moved the furniture, painted the walls and put everything including hanging the pictures back. And, their bid was 1/3 lower than the next lowest.
I don’t know if my painters are illegal because I didn’t ask. They are neighbors. They coime from Costa Rica. One has been in the states for nine years. His brother has been her two years. They are hoping to bring his brothers wife and two children to the states in the next few months. Good neighbors, good workers, honest businessmen. They are certainly welcome as far as I am concerned.

Minorities are blaming the rest of us for their failure. Isn’t that what is happening right here in Greensboro with the Black community? Deena Hayes makes no bones of it in blaming the White community for the drop out rate of Black students and the poor acdemic scores of the students at Dudley High. ***************************************************************************************************
We know Dick Lamm as the former Governor of Colorado. In that context his thoughts are particularly poignant. Last week there was an immigration overpopulation conference in Washington , DC , filled to
capacity by many of America ’s finest minds and leaders. A brilliant college professor by the name of Victor Hansen Davis [should be Victor Davis Hanson] talked about his latest book, Mexifornia, explaining how immigration – both legal and illegal was destroying the entire state of California . He said it would
march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream.
Moments later, former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm stood up and gave a stunning speech on how to destroy America . The audience sat spellbound as he described eight methods for the destruction of the
United States . He said, “If you believe that America is too smug, too self-satisfied, too rich, then let’s destroy America . It is not that hard to do. No nation in history has survived the ravages of time. Arnold Toynbee observed that all great civilizations rise and fall and
that an autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide.”
“Here is how they do it,” Lamm said: “First, to destroy America , turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bicultural country.” History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; however, it is a curse for a society to be bilingual. The historical scholar, Seymour Lipset, put it this way: “The histories of bilingual and bi-cultural societies that do not assimilate are histories of turmoil, tension, and tragedy.” Canada, Belgium, Malaysia, and Lebanon all face crises of national existence in which minorities press for autonomy, if not independence. Pakistan and Cyprus have divided. Nigeria suppressed an ethnic rebellion. France faces difficulties with Basques, Bretons, and Corsicans.
Lamm went on: Second, to destroy America , “Invent ‘multiculturalism’ and encourage immigrants to maintain their culture. Make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal. That there are no cultural differences. Make it an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due solely to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is out of bounds.
Third, “We could make the United States an ‘Hispanic Quebec’ without much effort. The key is to celebrate diversity rather than unity. As Benjamin Schwarz said in the Atlantic Monthly recently: “The apparent success of our own multiethnic and multicultural experiment might have been achieved not by tolerance but by hegemony. Without the dominance that once dictated ethnocentricity and what it meant to be an American,
we are left with only tolerance and pluralism to hold us together.”
Lamm said, “I would encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture. I would replace the melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor. It is important to ensure that we have various cultural
subgroups living in America enforcing their differences rather than as Americans, emphasizing their similarities.”
“Fourth, I would make our fastest growing demographic group the least educated. I would add a second underclass, unassimilated, undereducated,
and antagonistic to our population. I would have this second underclass have a 50% dropout rate from high school.”
“My fifth point for destroying America would be to get big foundations and business to give these efforts lots of money. I would invest in ethnic identity, and I would establish the cult of ‘Victimology.’ I would get all minorities to think that their lack of success was the
fault of the majority. I would start a grievance industry blaming all minority failure on the majority population.”
“My sixth plan for America ’s downfall would include dual citizenship, and promote divided loyalties. I would celebrate diversity over unity. I would stress differences rather than similarities. Diverse people worldwide are mostly engaged in hating each other – that is, when they
are not killing each other. A diverse, peaceful, or stable society is against most historical precedent. People undervalue the unity it takes to keep a nation together. Look at the ancient Greeks. The Greeks believed that they belonged to the same race; they possessed a common language and literature; and they worshipped the same gods. All Greece took part in the Olympic games. A common enemy, Persia , threatened their liberty. Yet all these bonds were not strong enough to overcome two factors: local patriotism in the city states and geographical conditions that nurtured political divisions. Greece fell. “E. Pluribus Unum” –From many, one. In that historical reality, if we put the emphasis on the ‘pluribus’ instead of the ‘Unum,’ we will balkanize America as surely as Kosovo.”
“Next to last, I would place all subjects off limits; make it taboo to talk about anything against the cult of ‘diversity.’ I would find a word similar to ‘heretic’ in the 16th century – that stopped discussion and paralyzed thinking. Words like ‘racist’ or ‘xenophobe’ halt discussion and debate. Having made America a bilingual/bicultural country, having established multi-culturism, having the large foundations fund the
doctrine of ‘Victimology,’ I would next make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws. I would develop a mantra: That because immigration has been good for America , it must always be good. I would make every
individual immigrant symmetric and ignore the cumulative impact of millions of them.”
In the last minute of his speech, Governor Lamm wiped his brow. Profound silence followed. Finally he said, “Lastly, I would censor Victor Hanson Davis’s book Mexifornia. His book is dangerous. It exposes the
plan to destroy America . If you feel America . deserves to be destroyed, don’t read that book.”
There was no applause. A chilling fear quietly rose like an ominous cloud above every attendee at the conference. Every American in that room knew that everything Lamm enumerated was proceeding methodically, quietly, darkly, yet pervasively across the United States today. Discussion is being suppressed. Over 100 languages are ripping the foundation of our educational system and national cohesiveness. Even
barbaric cultures that practice female genital mutilation are growing as we celebrate ‘diversity.’ American jobs are vanishing into the Third World as corporations create a Third World in America – take note of California
and other states – to date, ten million illegal aliens and growing fast.
It is reminiscent of George Orwell’s book “1984.” In that story, three slogans are engraved in the Ministry of Truth building: “War is peace,” “Freedom is slavery,” and “Ignorance is strength.”
Governor Lamm walked back to his seat. It dawned on everyone at the conference that our nation and the future of this great democracy is deeply in trouble and worsening fast. If we don’t get this immigration
monster stopped within three years, it will rage like a California wildfire and destroy everything in its path especially The American Dream.

• Dec. 10, 2005 – A Different View on Immigration
I too have many questions about the influx of immigrants crossing our southern borders. Should they have to go thru the same process to enter this country as other immigrants? Yes they should. Or, they should have an effective process just for those who come into the country to do seasonal work which they do not have after all these years of having this problem. Should those who live in the border states have to worry about vandalism and worse from unsavory characters who cross the border. No they shouldn’t but this is another problem. These unsavory people are not the majority of the immigrants coming into the country illegally for legitimate jobs; these are drug smugglers and criminals coming for the lucrative American market for their wares. Shouldn’t they have to get car insurance if they drive a car? Yes and they would if they could but being illegal they risk deportation and lost of that life sustaining job if they submit the paperwork for the insurance. Shouldn’t they pay taxes? Yes, and they do pay taxes.
For the most part illegal immigrants are good citizens in this country when they are here. They have to be because they can’t risk getting into trouble with the law and being deported and having to start over at great expense and danger trying to enter the United States again. They keep to themselves and do their work and send their money home to support their family. Quite frankly it can reasonable be argued that our economy, at least the food industry segment of our economy, is greatly dependent upon illegal immigrants. The next time you go to the grocery store try multiplying your grocery bill by 4 and think then how you REALLY feel about illegal immigrants and any problems we think we have with their being in our country! It might be a better idea rather than carrying guns along our borders to petition our Congressmen to pass reasonable immigration laws for these seasonal workers so that they can return the next work season. If this is done then we will only have the criminal element trying to break our laws.
