Locking people out of the room that you don’t want to deal with seems to be growing as a legitimate and I suppose politically correct action by government officials and elected officials alike.
Government Reform Chairman Ed Towns has figured out a novel way to lock Republicans out in a bitter dispute over a committee hearing.
He’s locking them out. Literally.
Towns (D-N.Y.) is seething mad that the top Republican on the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) tried to force a subpoena vote in the committee regarding a Countrywide Financial investigation, without Towns’ consent. Towns got even angrier when Republicans posted a video of Democrats slipping out the side door to avoid that vote last week. That left leave Republicans without the proper committee quorum, but the video did give the GOP fodder to portray Democrats as avoiding a tough vote on documents related Countrywide, which offered VIP mortgages to Democratic Sens. Chris Dodd and Kent Conrad.
Now considering that Senator Dodd as Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee and Rep. Barney Frank, Chairman of the House Finance Committee were the two people most responsible for the financial meltdown and mortgage crisis I would think Senator Town’s committee might just want to look into the dealing of these two men, or at least the Senator. But no, this is not how the game is played. And considering that the game with the mortgage industry that caused all the problems of toxic mortgages and foreclosures because of people who could not afford a mortgage were given one is still being played, and in fact has been ratcheted up by these same two men, you can see where a Senator who hates America and wants to see it fall would not wish to shed any light on the sleazy dealing of Senator Dodd.
You see another and much larger break down in our Financial System is required if Obama and cohorts are to “be forced” to turn the entire financial system of the United States over to the World Bank in the form of a Global Regulatory Agency. Which of course is to say the control of the United Nations crowd.
At that point the United States can be literally sucked dry of all its wealth and left to flounder on as a banana republic where its workers are exploited to work in the natural resources industries sending these and the profits out of the country. Cap and Trade and the Second Kyoto Accords which Obama is expected to sign are just two aspects of this agenda. Under both Americans will be taxed by the United Nations for their “destruction” of the planet at the same time they are being forced by their world masters to continue to dig coal, drill oil, mine for all sorts of minerals and pollute the atmosphere.
Don’t believe this is happening? Read, listen and think! While the focus is on this bogus health care reform debate Obama and his Congressmen are working behind the scenes on so many levels to bring about our downfall. There are good Congressmen still operating in Washington. I have repeatedly given the names and information on some of them. Don’t let a day go by that you do not contact them by phone or letter or even e-mail with your opinion on what is happening in some area or with some issue. Make your message brief and to the point. Be respectful. But KEEP THE PRESSURE ON because the only people who can stop Obama right now are the Congressmen who love liberty and see what is happening. Or those who are afraid of the 2010 elections. BB
