I watched some of the debates on health care reform and the Pelosi Monster in the House of Representatives yesterday. For much of the time I found myself playing Joe Wilson and shouting, “You lie!” at the TV. I don’t know how it was possible for Democratic Congressman after Congressman to stand before the world and knowing their words were recorded, lie about the bill being debated. Over and over these people denied the truth or outright gave wrong, lying information to the public.
I was so upset because I could not understand the Democrats need to lie and deny what was in the bill. If they believed it was the best thing for the country and that what they were doing was right then why not proudly proclaim that “yes, the bill forms (111 ) one hundred and eleven new agencies to serve and protect the Americans against all kind of abuse”? Because the bill does create one hundred and eleven new agencies, or bureaucracies. That is fact. I have enumerated them on this blog and even offered the page number so you can look it up yourself.
I did not see one Democrat House member who told the truth. Of course I did not watch the entire debate or even the larger part of the debate since I found it so disgusting after a few minutes that I had to turn the TV off. I guess I could have missed a Democrat or two who told the truth. I want to believe that there are at the lease a few who have a sense of right and wrong; a few who still have that God Spark within them that we normally call a conscience. Maybe there are; Please God let it be so, and I just didn’t see them speaking. BB

On the backs of our young! Haven’t we done enough to destroy the quality of life for our young people. We have left them a world of crime, corruption and ewvil, just plain pure and simple evil rules this world and we are the ones who allowed it to happen by standing by quietly while EVIL took over. BB
Cato Adjunct Scholar Aaron Yelowitz reports:
Health care proposals moving through Congress would force most or all Americans to purchase health insurance (an “individual mandate”) and would impose price controls on health insurance (“community rating”) that would limit insurers’ ability to offer lower premiums to low-risk enrollees.
Those provisions would drive premiums down for 55-year-olds but would drive them up for 25-year-olds—who are then implicitly subsidizing older adults. According to the Urban Institute, many young people could see their premiums double, whereas premiums for older adults could be cut in half.
I am 78 and my husband is 83. We have lived in the same town for all our lives (we were born here). I have just been struck by the realization that, from this year on, nothing, and I do mean nothing about America will ever be the same again. I have written to my congressmen without ever receiving as much as a reply. There simply is no accountability in our government anymore, not from the President, not from any congressmen and women.
My health is better than most, even at my age, and that is due 100% to my genes and my lifetsyle. I walk every single day. I avoid red meat. I read (mostly http://webmd.com and http://www.collectivewizdom.com) for health tips and , most importantly, I pray, every single day fro continued health and peace of mind.
Now, I fear, that my hard-earned money is being wasted by these politicians. Shameful.
Thank you Ellie for stopping by and sharing with me and my readers. I am 68 and until recent years also enjoyed excellent health as had my husband. But now at 72 Lew has a pace maker that has slowed him down from a very active life. I have a twisted spine that was a birth accident that has cause chronic pain and joint degeneration which has gotten worse with age to the point where I am very limited in what I can do.
However walking was the magic bullet that kept me going as many years as I did, and well past the time when the “experts” told me I would be wheelchair bound. I’M STILL NOT! I just move slow and can’t go far.
And no, this America is not one I want to continue to live in. I have often told young friends that I am happy to be at the winter season of my life and not the spring or summer. I can’t do much about the changes and destruction being done to my country at this time by radical haters of America and Americans but keep up this blog and try to keep busy younger people informed on what is happening. It is the young who will have to fight for our Constitution and way of life as we have known it. I am sorry that my generation dropped the ball and allowed most of this to happen; allowed the evil ones into our nation. Although it was done for the best reasons and that is our American belief in Freedom of speech and freedom to live as one chooses. Yes, the evil ones beat us with our own laws and love of liberty!
If our young are however able to bring our nation back I am afraid we will undergo a period where freedom for all is suppressed almost as rigidly as the Marxist would suppress us. The difference being it will be a moral suppression and a demand that we return to God,…… and that can not be bad.
Thank you for stopping by. sincerely, Brenda Bowers BB
