Do you remember flight 93? The date was September 1, 2001 and three planes were hijacked in the United States. One flew into the Twin Towers in New York City and killed 3000 people, mostly Americans. One flew into the Pentagon and killed over 100 people but did relatively little damage in comparison to the destruction in New York. And one never made it to the planned destination which is believed to have been the White House or Capitol Building.
Flight 93 crashed into a field in Pennsylvania instead because a group of brave young American men who had been in contact with their families via cell phone knew what had occurred in New York and Washington and knew their plane was going to be used for the same purpose. They decided to attacked the radical Muslims who had taken over the cockpit in an effort to stop the flight from reaching its destination. Before they could take back the plane the Muslim pilot put the plane into a dive crash and killed all aboard. Flight 93 was crashed in a field in rural Pennsylvania.
A memorial was planned for those on flight 93. A memorial to their bravery and fight against radical followers of Islam. But somewhere along the line the memorial became a tribute to Islam in its design. The memorial was in the shape of a large crescent; the crescent is the symbol of Islam!
People have been fighting now for years to stop this desecration of the place where American heros died for their country. It has been a long fight but now it seems the fanatics have won. Still it is only the ground breaking and this desecration of American soil where heroes died can be stopped yet.

Ground broken for Terrorist memorial mosque
The desecration has begun. A ground-breaking ceremony was held at the Shanksville crash site on Saturday. Bulldozers will start reshaping the land this week. Never mind that the only rule for the Flight 93 memorial’s design competition was that the landscape had to be left as it was. In order to complete the full arc of the Crescent of Embrace (now called a broken circle, but still a giant Islamic-shaped crescent), an earthen causeway will have to be built across the wetlands that lie about 50 vertical feet below the crash site.
A contractor posted recently about his decision to turn down work on the memorial, despite economic hard times. Our friend Jeff just could not stomach the idea of helping to build a tribute to the enemy, a sentiment that is easy to understand and much appreciated.
The most active and vocal of people fighting against this crime is Alex Rawls. I have followed Mr. Rawls activities for several years now. He has written a book about the memorial that you can download and read.

Here is a short bio I sent to press people covering the Flight 93 memorial debacle. My training is as an economist. I was in the PhD program in economics at Stanford until my research led me more towards moral theory and constitutional law, at which point I dropped the program and started working on my own. I was writing a book on republicanism (the system of liberty under law) for World Ahead Publishing when I discovered that the Flight 93 memorial was going to be a terrorist memorial mosque. World Ahead agreed to first publish my book about this rehijacking of Flight 93 (Crescent of Betrayal, temporarily available for free download at CrescentOfBetrayal.com). This is not my first venture into journalism. Over the years I have been a writer, opinions editor, and advisor for Stanford’s conservative campus newspaper The Stanford Review, and am currently on the Review’s board of directors.
The book is well worth reading. and after reading the story you too may want to join in the fight against this hateful project. The park service is trying to call this crescent and “embrace” but the fact stands that it is a broken circle or crescent! BB
