Spencer: The Phantom Backlash – Jihad Watch
Backlash fever is sweeping the nation: thirteen Americans are dead and thirty-eight wounded in a jihad attack at Fort Hood, and our government’s primary concern — from the Chief of Staff of the Army to the Islamic pressure groups such as CAIR — are focused entirely on ensuring that Muslims in the United States are not being victimized by a “backlash.”
Backlash, backlash is all we are hearing from our officials, but where is all this backlash? Every time there is an attack by Muslim terrorists from 9/11 to the Fort Hood Massacre the public is immediately warned against backlash against “peace-loving” Muslims. Our media immediately goes out beating the bushes for some sign of a backlash; any little thing at all they can report as Americans taking revenge on “innocent” Muslims. AND THERE HAS NEVER BEEN ANYTHING THE HOUNDS COULD FIND TO SPREAD ACROSS THE NATION IN BROAD HEADLINES ABOVE THE FOLD!
Now with this latest assault on Americans by a fanatic follower of Islam it has again become the battle cry of our officials:

After 9/11 reporters were so eager to find some atrocity performed against Muslims by Americans that they were reduced to interviewing Muslims who claimed to “feel intimidated” and to be “getting looks” from people who frightened them so they were afraid to leave their homes. Finally after searching all over the country and among the 300 million people there was a report from one Muslim school principal that he had receive a threatening letter. Note: that is a SINGULAR letter.
I said then, and nothing has changed my mind since, the Muslims in our country were suffering from their own guilt and from knowing how they would have reacted if the attack by Islamic terrorist that killed 3000 people had been against them instead of truly innocent Americans. The Muslim way is always and ever to rise up and riot over the least little thing that they consider an insult to Allah or Islam!
The hate crimes mandate that has been issued by the United Nations that makes even thoughts against religion a crime just happens to only mention one religion: Islam! The hate crimes bill that was passed in Congress as part of a defense funding bill was not passed with Christians in mind. No, this has been a Christian country since the first immigrants came ashore in Jamestown and never have we felt the need to protect Christianity. This country has only seen a Muslim population for 40 years and now we see a need to protect religion—Islam. Protection for the very people who are killing Americans! Strange Judaism, Buddhist and Hindus haven’t felt the need for laws against some slight to their religious beliefs or religion. But then again I haven’t heard of any murders by jews, Buddhist or Hindus while yelling their Gods name either. So I guess it is only those who are murdering people in the name of their religion who seem to need protection against “backlash”. BB

Indeed every time something like this happens the Muslim organizations haul out their cry of victim-hood. We Americans are fools and consistently fall for that malarkey too. We always have and always will because it is part of the American character to stick up for the under dog. So it is one of two cards that are the Muslims aces: Racism and Victim. BB
