I am against the following:
cap and trade,universal healthcare,gun control,bailouts,big government. A president that apologizes for America,First lady that is not proud of her country,obama’s association with socialists and radicals,ACORN doing the census,bowing to a muslim king and I do not live in a muslim nation.

I will keep my guns,I refuse to hand over personal information to the “GODLESS BEASTS”in the white house. I will live my life as I choose and I will fight these ppl every step of the way. Cap and trade will prevent families,the elderly on fixed incomes to be able to keep warm or cool. It is Leslie’s blog that makes her one of my four chosen Bloggers in a Class by Themselves. There are so many really truly great bloggers out there, but these four impress me for different reasons and just stand out from the others for their individuality.
Leslie is a political blogger and would agree with everything you are saying. I especially love her blog because she is so creative in getting across her message. She uses the classics and humor and special videos. Today’s post was of Red Skelton explaining the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. I don’t know where she found this old video but it is a gem and so typical of her.
Jeff Dreibus is just so passionately sincere. He too is a good engaging writer, but it is his passion that stirs me.
Leave Me Alone I am Digging: a blog on gardening and all God’s creatures. This writer is truly in love with Mother Earth and it shows in every post. He makes me want the peace of digging to even with my pathetic brown thumb.
Stewart Pittman is a cameraman or photog as he calls himself. He rides around town all day looking for stories for the local tv station. He takes wonderful pictures, but his true talent is just plain writing. You don’t have to be interested in Stew’s topic or even understand what he is talking about to enjoy his writing.
Try them all why don’t you. Then go down the right hand column of my site to my list of National and International political bloggers for some great posts on the topics that you are most concerned with. Most are more commentators than my blog, but they are knowledgeable and accurate in their information given. Some others post more on the style I have adopted of just getting out information with a bit of commentary.
I began as a commentator until last summer when I finally admitted to myself that Obama was going to take the White House and I had to try to let people know what his agenda for America really was. That is when I began the format I now use of passing on and referring other sources of facts. Of course I get my two cents worth in too since I am after all “an opinionated older lady” (except I ain’t no lady!).

For some reason it seems these days that if you stand on moral principles that you are a pariah in this society. I am very concer ned by what is ocurring, if you speak out then you are a nazi,redneck or uneducated. I never took a dime that wasnt mine,I raised my children with no help from the nanny state,if i needed something I worked and earned it. sorry for the double post above , and I wanted to add a topic that really has been left out of the debate in terms of economic recovery and the need for a way back to when America had a balanced trade deficit and sound dollar due to a wealth creation based in our abilities to produce a greater percentage of our durable needs , and the wealth effect this had on our country and communities , like how all segments in our economic is not working , because of the large consolidations in distribution of societies durable needs , which was the sole purpose of the FTC , was to keep markets from becoming consolidated by the Corporate sector , but instead since the bringing of the WTO free Trade agreement , the Multi-National Corporate Machine has been consolidating the market sectors distribution , and the wealth with it , and today we see the results , which I believe the Change of Tariff Law back in 1994-95 was the brining of this demise we see today , and the Giant Sucking Sound Ross Perot talked about in the 1992 Presidential Campaign , http://www.thenation.com/doc/20011231/greider , has come home to roost , and its not just the USA its every country that cannot compete with the way that Asian Countries manipulate their currencies lower than the Trade partners that are Higher , which is a direct example of ” Gresham’s Law of the 14 th Century , http://www.statemaster.com/encyclopedia/Gresham%27s-law , which you should argue with economic gurus that , ” When 2 different valued currencies trade in the same markets , the Lower valued currency will drive the higher down and out of circulation ” , so by what is said in that valuing currencies in terms of Commodity values , the currencies of China and the USA should be way closer in value than they have been over the past 15 years of WTO trade , because Commodities are traded in par valued international markets .
So to consider that before we had the WTO trade agreement of 1994-5 , we had Balanced Trade deficits and a sound dollar , and a healthy Manufacturing base in the USA , the very support structure for wealth creation , that then feeds the secondary markets and infrastructures , a debate on how we can use a Bid Concept for all forms of Imported goods , as well as our domestic needs should be the new economy fundamental we seek in our Country , to go with this health care renovation .

So we need a healthy debate one this as well as the health care debate .

Hungry, I am with you on everything you have said. I too heard the loud sucking sound of American jobs going overseas. My fear now is that the American dollar will become a thing of the past. President Obama signed onto the agreement for a world currency at the G20 Conference in Europe this past winter soon after he took office. Now Russia, china and India are all calling for a new world currency to take the place of the dollar which is now the standard. If this happens our debts to china and India will quite4 simply be beyond our ability to ever pay since our currency will be so devalued.
I don’t know how much of my other posts you have been reading, if any, since you only comment on this one, but I am very much concerned and even frightened for our nation under the Obama Administration. He now has 32 czars that he has appointed over just about everything. These are people whom no one elected and Congress didn’t approve but they are given enormous power. The majority of them have Communist Party affiliations and/or backgrounds. It seems to me that President Obama wants to make the United States a Marxist country. BB

HEALTH BILL BREECHES IRS PRIVACY

As if Obama’s health care proposals were not flawed enough, CBS News reports a previously unnoticed provision of the bill which makes a shambles of any privacy surrounding your federal tax returns. Under the House bill, the IRS is required to make available to the new government Health Choices Commissioner” established by the legislation and to each state health program all of your personal tax information.
CBS News’ Declan McCullagh reports that “Section 431 (a) of the bill says that the IRS must divulge taxpayer identity information, including the filing status, the modified adjusted grow income, the number of dependents, and ‘other information as is prescribed by’ regulation” to the “new Health Choices Commissioner and state health programs.”
And, McCullagh also repor ts that, under Section 1801(a) “the Social Security Administration can obtain tax return data on anyone who may be eligible for a ‘low-income prescription drug subsidy’ but has not applied for it.”
So the Health Choices Commissioner and anyone in his office, the fifty state health programs and their staffs, and the vast Social Security Administration will all now have access to your personal tax information.
It might as well be published in the newspapers.
The rationale for providing this confidential tax information to all these people is not only to check on the eligibility of those who are seeking federal subsidy – a possibly appropriate use of it – but, also, to those who have not applied but might be eligible. This later20provision essentially authorizes the Social Security Administration to seek and obtain anyone’s income tax information under the guise of determining if they should have applied for a subsidy.
McCullagh quotes Tom Giovanetti of the Institute for Policy Innovation as saying “How many thousands of federal employees will have access to your record? The privacy of your health records will be only as good as the most nosy, most dishonest, and most malcontented federal employee.” And not just your health records, your financial records too!
This legislation requiring an agency-to-agency transfer of confidential tax information runs against the general policy of the Privacy Act which prohibits such a paper flow. Generally, information has to come from the individual involved and cannot simply be passed from one government bureau to another. The IRS takes particular pains to keep tax returns confidential and leaks are rare. But this legislation will end any hope or pretense of privacy.

My husband is from Athol. His brother and sister are still there. Lew left when he was 17 and joined the Force and has only been back for rare visits. We came across the Mohawk Trail in mid October once and it was so lovely I caught my breath around ever curve in the road as one vista was more beautiful than the last. 3 days later coming back the trees were denuded of every leaf. However birch is pretty with it’s white bark any time. By the way, where are you from? BB

I am in AZ . I was a rancher / dryland grain , irrigated row crop farmer in Oregon for 40 years before coming down to AZ in 1999.
Speculation is what our country was founded on , and speculation is what we must do , every day if we want to survive .
Its those who were not allowed to speculate in past historical events , that we marvel at and take lessons from , and those who are so involved with their inner emotions that they do not realize the lessons from the past and what they represent to our value of understanding , what is the spring board of individual equality , Freedom of Expression we must never lose this right !!!!!
The founders wrote that one eccentric into the lives of our country so that we could constantly throw back the power of consolidation , and manipulation , of the Individual . but I speculate that over the past 15 years , we have seen this evolve since the WTO FREE Trade agreement , that as a representative of our currency , and under the principles of historical events that are charted under Greshams law of the 14 th century , the very time in history that span a period in time that showed a desimation of eEnglands economy , by way of a trade policy that undermined their barrter and trade system when England decided to trade with North African nations as way to lower cost of goods , but not maintaining a system that would represent their peoples efforts along with this process , something that Tariff Trade does , when 2 different valued Economies trade with each other , so that the values of all are upheld , but in-turn lowered the standard of life , by way of disrupting the equality of their wealth distribution system , devaluing their contributions to their societies needs , was the unraveling of that country and was when our founding fathers went about their mission to find a new world , America , we do not teach these historical events , so to speculate why , I would ask the question , if we do not know where we came from , how do we speculate on our future that shows us generations later , what is worth holding onto and whats worth speculating on ?
This is where we are at today , we are speculating on someones speech of how much better we would be with a consolidation of Individual rights , saying that this has proven to be unrepresentative of the majority , but if we look at the historic record of what stood the test of time , its been the individual efforts of the people that we invested in and benefited from , as long as there was a direction that advanced the needs of a growing population . This is whats being challenged today .
Given the Science thats out there , like never before , the speculation in futures markets is like a crystal ball into the future , the real good thing about Free Markets , they can allow us to see a truer picture of a speculative future , without the clouded views of say a political movement thats trying to swing the opinion to favor them , like what we see all the time coming from our leadership , which is why we have got to defend with all our Free Expression and Speculations , so that we have a chance to stay free to see the future so that we may have a chance to alter the outcome , by way of innovating quality of life to anticipate and invest in what we speculate .
As long as the majority are speculating based off a Free peoples expression of speculation , we might stand a chance of continuing to advance , and meet the needs of a growing world .
Look at history , WW1 was a Result of a struggle in the eastern block countries that under dictatorships for decades , the people evolved with famine as the main event , as the leadership was content with manipulation as the innovation , so the people suffer as the devaluation of the society evolves because of a short sighted ideology that manipulates the process of individual expression as the incubator of innovative advancement . This led to conflict as Resource development dwindled and did not keep up with the growth of population , so as this process advanced , so did the conflicts , to the point that War broke out , but the effort failed , because still a lack of resources hamstrung the efforts , and so the struggle continued until another rise of conflict born WW2 , which was basically a continuation of WW1 .
what changed the trajectory of the path of perpetual war during that time , was the Bretton Woods accords after the War , which was an agreement of war torn nations to create funding for rebuilding , but most importantly , also there was an effort to ” Expand ” and ” Develop ” more resources in the world to meet the needs of a growing population .

Peace has been the result , up until the last decade , which if you really want to take it back to the beginning of the Free Trade agreement era , we can speculate that the world was again starting to run lower of resources , so the consolidation process was started again , because of events as tell tail signs , like Saddams invasion of Kuwait , was nothing but an attempt to consolidate the oil region , , that then the power that the Free Trade agreement placed into the hands of OPEC , and how they were able to be influenced through GEO political treats , Oil-for-Food , etc ,etc , manipulated oil prices through the 90s , but as the repression continued in the region , up sprang the opposition , because again the needs of the region were not able to be met , even if the people were making an individual effort to improve their lives , the dictators were hoarding the benefits of the resources , and not allowing resources to be expanded , like alternatives , something that we are hearing but not seeing today right here in our country , and after I listen to van Jones say that they do not want even Lithium Battery powered cars , because we will just end up in war over Lithium , like oil , tells me that these short sighted points of view need to be challenged or suffer we will .
These people are worried that the earth is running out of room for more population growth , and they are bent on a closed loop system that recycles people like it does resources , for a “Planetary Regime” .
study whats being said in these writings , checkout the links and see that these documents were wrote by these czars , a long time ago , because they rather than trying to advance a speculative concept to innovate further the advancement of Population growth needs , they rather have choose a path of closed loop society regimes , that history shows does not work .
Think about it , listen to what Van Jones is saying here , that we need to return to a food production method thats non harming to the earth , this means less production , , the idea that you can go back to the way it was and be better , in their mind is less people as the end result , naturally .
But what they forget is , no matter the rate of production , as long as there is no method to restrict the population growth , means will not meet the needs , and so you are left with 2 choices , struggle with the process of restricting human growth , or try and find ways through Individual participation , because a big pool of Minds is always better for idea Innovation , than to rely on a dictator manipulating the people for their own favorable outcome , history shows over and over this has failed , because like time that is in Motion , so is the Human race , and the harder you try and stand in its way , the bigger the Conflict becomes .
What we need is to be advancing all the time , and if the earth is running out of space for the Human race to advance on , then we need to think outside this Box ………..

Wow! you have much to say and are well informed. Have you considered starting your own blog? It is easy to do. I use WordPress.com and getting started is very easy.
Now on your writing: Well informed and well written. But you use far too many commas making it difficult to understand at a times what you are trying to say. I had to go back and ignore the commas in some cases to get your meaning. I would suggest you stop using commas all together as they really won’t be missed by most readers.
I need more time to read over what you have written again because there are just too many ideas and proposals for me to intelligently grasp in one reading. Just wanted to answer you now.

Yes indeed, you need to get your own blog as you have so much to say! As you say there are problems not too far ahead for the people of this planet. We are depleting our sources of CLEAN water as well as using it wastefully. I lived in Florida from 1973 to 1996 and became involved in the beginnings of water wars. I say the beginning because as cities grew their need for water grew so they bought land in less populated counties and drilled water wells. Of course as the counties populations grew they needed their own water for agriculture and for the communities but the supply was being depleted as the bigger cities drew down the water table. Right now they have water districts and they anger is limited to a few going to meetings and making request that the cities stop their expansion and drilling. But at some point it will come to war.
As for agriculture the need there is so obvious all over the world. Right now the United States relies heavily on the Southwest for much of its food. One problem: there is a limited supply of water in the southwest. At some point as the population grows the United States will have to change its current uses of the land.

I do believe that we have not been served justly with regards to our 10th Amendment rights if you interpret them properly .
The 10 th Amendment ;Id. at 166
it does not authorize Congress to regulate state governments’ regulation of interstate commerce. Id. at 166. If the county sheirff defends the state consitution , it should free the citizen to cross state lines to shop for commerce like Health Insurance .
The 10 th Amendment gives a person the right to shop across state lines for competitive health care policies , like any Commerce .And it should guard against unfair costs associated with lawsuits that are not justified , given way to challenging by way through the 10th amendment , the idea of tort reforms for fair cost solutions to freedom of competition in commerce of health care policy shopping by a citizen of the USA .

Agreed Hungry. The health care system we have is probably the best in the world. it just needs some refinement in areas that have been problems like portability and torte reform and especially open commerce. Of course the insurance companies themselves are against the shopping across state lines. They have neatly cut the country up among themselves and have a lock on their own little markets (states) so they can do anything with their prices. the consumer needs insurance and must buy from companies who are available to them in their state. The states are also opposed to this because they have a whole bureaucracy set up to regulate the insurance industry in their state.
But no worries the Dems are determined to pass this bill and they can do it on a simple majority if they want. I commented on this very problem on the Glenn Beck all week on the Oba… post (see Rosannna right below your name on comments).

I think through our county Sheriff ’s departments and their oath to uphold the state Commerce for citizens rights to fair commerce access we can make a case for the right through the 10th amendment to find agreeable state counties that will allow the interstate transactions of health care shopping to transact . read the 10th amendment and the clause under Interstate commerce , it says the federal government has the right to intervene , but cannot stop the states from interstate commerce transactions , and health care policy shopping I believe falls under the definition of ” Goods and Services ” under the Commerce Clause .

Hungry I very much enjoy this discussion with you and know from my email that others are keeping up with it. However it was so far off topic of Sen. McCain’s heath care reform petition that some readers who wanted to make comments were confused by all of our discussion. So I moved us here under CONVERSATIONS AND DISCUSSIONS so we can continue to ramble on about a variety of topics. I love rambling and the ideas that come out!
Now to answer the above post: YES! I too would hope that we could continue to explore outer space. This I believe is mankind’s future if we don’t blow ourselves to Hell first. And I do hope something is done about all the space junk flying around the Earth at this time. If we would give more attention to the world around us and outer space perhaps we would get beyond wars and more cooperation among nations. A big world wide project that all countries interested could participate in would lead to more cooperation in all areas and it would be too costly to start a war and lose the investment in space exploration with other countries.
A prime example of coming into the world community and its effect on actual actions is communist china becoming a capitalist society. Communism and capitalism can not survive together! The people are being educated and brought into the 21st. century so as to fill the needs of the 21st. century./ And these people won’t long tolerate an intrusive government once they have experienced self reliance and a better life this gives them.
One reason Barack Obama was elected was the large turn out of those who want the government to take care of them from cradle to grave. His votes cam from the current welfare recipients and the wannabe welfare recipients and the elitist Liberal in the universities who believe they will become the leaders under a welfare state because after all they are so knowledgeable!
