Lefty Blogger Moves Against Obama

This is an interesting article in that it points out how much of President Obama’s radical support is turning against him.   It started to disillusion these fanatics on the far Left when Gitmo was closed fast enough and the terrorist released .  Then the health Care Reform without a Public Option (government payer)  and the abortion issue seemed to be on the line.  Now after all the months of dithering on sending troops into Afghanistan Obama finally relents under world pressure to do something  and his gang is truning like mad dogs on their leader.  Look for it to get ugly because the Left fanatics are ugly and when they turn on their leader it is like a pack of wolves.

Rep. Waxman Advocates Media Bailout

Look for it because it is coming:  government take over of the press.  It is going to be sold as a means to “save” the newspapers and journalism in general, but it is one more step in the complete control of  We the People.   A free press is a necessity for  a free country.  The free press has ever served to expose government corruption.  We have a glaring example of what a biased press can do today in the corruption and perhaps ownership of the major  TV channels.  ABC, NBC, CBS have all backed Obamanation 100% from the campaign where they gave Obama favorable coverage 65% of the time as opposed to favorable coverage for McCain only 35% of the time.  This is fact!  Check the records.  And  ABC even admitted its duplicity almost gleefully after Obama was elected.

These broadcast media have continued to support and show bias in reporting the news to this day.  The people however hungry for the truth have turned from them and gone in mass to FOXNEWS.

The major newspapers led by The New York Times have also been biased in their reporting for Obama and now for Obamanation.  As a result these newspapers are also losing their readership.  This gives the government the perfect opportunity to step in and “rescue” the  “free press”.

The California Democrat, who chairs the powerful House Energy and Commerce Committee, didn’t say it quite so bluntly, but his point was clear. “Government’s going to have to be involved, in one way or the other,” to save journalism from an ongoing “market failure” that will only worsen without intervention, Waxman said.

In case you have forgotten who Waxman is he is the Representative in the House who tried to drowned you in the Cap & Trade disaster.  His bill would not only tax you but control how you live and the construction of your home.   Then his bill would give your tax dollars to “poor countries”.

He spoke at the second day of an FTC workshop on how journalism can survive in the Internet era.

Waxman bemoaned the demise of newspapers across the country, including in Denver and Seattle, and warned that the troubling media trends will continue. “This recent depression in the media sector is not cyclical,” Waxman said. “It is structural.”

The proponents for this government take over are sly and sleazy in their  speeches about “saving  a free press” as the only way to “save a free country”.  Don’t you believe it!  Watch what happens and contact your Representatives and Senators about this final straw in taking over a free country.   You can bet that FOXNEWS will be the first casualty of this benevolent “help” from the communist in our government.

“Congress can’t impose a solution” to that structural problem, he said. But the government should partner with the media industry to ensure a sound future for journalism. Waxman praised the record of “independent” reporting in U.S. history and said it has implications for democracy.

“There needs to be a consensus within the media industry and the larger community it serves” before the government acts, Waxman said. “We have to figure out together how to preserve that kind of reporting.”

The morning session also featured media policy activists, public broadcasters and proponents of nonprofit journalism making the case for government funding of the media.

“Congress should adopt legislation that would provide substantial additional resources” to fund public-service media, said Mark MacCarthy, a communications professor in the culture and technology program at Georgetown University. He said Waxman “gave us the path to legislative success in that area.”

Several speakers likened government intervention in the media market to past instances of federal funding for publicly valuable services, such as public safety, education and libraries.

Everything and everyone the government “helps”  is thereafter CONTROLLED by government!

I haven’t said anything on this site about the so-called White House Party crashers because from the beginning it sounded like so much Gentleman cow Manure to me and  another one of those stupidity in the extreme White House  staff ploys to discredit the CIA.  I have never been a visitor to the White House, but I have read of the procedure that many who have been guest have had to go thru just to get  in the doors let alone up close and personal with the President and Vice President and First Lady.  With those reports in mind I just could not credit  anything larger than a flea crashing the gates.

I could however  believe the White House Staff perpetrating a hoax to discredit the CIA.  After all have they not been trying to do just that for the past eleven months?  Since too many have intelligent people have questioned the ploy the White House is trying to cover their back sides AGAIN.  Actually, as often as these people dirty their back sides and need to change their clothing I would suggest they start wearing Pampers.    Anyhow this latest is just another White House diaper change.

Democrats Threaten to Bypass Republican Changes on Health Bill – Bloomberg.com

There has been talk for months now of the Democrats using any methods at all to pass the Health Care Bill  even when polls are saying that 55% of Americans oppose it and only 35% of Americans are for it.

The Democrats could pull out the so-called nuclear option which would require only 51 votes for the bill to pass in the Senate.  Shady, sleazy and very, very dangerous for the Democrats running for election or re-election in 2010, and very possibly forever.   I believe going against  two thirds of the public  and cramming this government take over of 16% of our economy can and will totally sink the Democratic Party for good and all.

Another means of curtailing honest debate is tabling the Republican sponsored amendments to the bill now under consideration.  This has the same potential for  ultimately defeating the Democrats.  I have to wonder if these people are that stupid?  Then again it doesn’t take much searching to find ample evidence that they are indeed !

Dec. 3 (Bloomberg) — Senate Democrats threatened to bypass Republican amendments to hasten debate over U.S. health-care legislation as delays jeopardized the goal of passage this year.Democratic leaders voiced frustration as the deliberations stretched into a third day without a vote on any amendment. Blaming Republicans for stalling, Democrats may act to remove the opposition party’s amendments from floor consideration by tabling them, said Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois.

Actually there was a vote on one amendment today: 61 to 39 to have insurers cover  mammograms and other women’s preventative testing.  I imagine this is the easiest amendment that will be passed,  and one would have therefore have expected it to be unanimous.  Since it wasn’t a unanimous vote but a very close and contentious issue then what hope has abortion funding, requiring all Americans to purchase health insurance and some of the other amendments coming up to pass?

Washington, D.C., Press Conference Unveils 4,700-Word Statement Signed by Some 150 Orthodox, Catholic & Evangelical Leaders

WASHINGTON, D.C., Nov. 20, 2009—Today a group of prominent Christian clergy, ministry leaders and scholars released the Manhattan Declaration, which addresses the sanctity of life, traditional marriage and religious liberty.  The 4,700-word declaration issues a clarion call to Christians to adhere to their convictions and informs civil authorities that the signers will not—under any circumstance—abandon their Christian consciences.  Drafted by Dr. Robert George, Dr. Timothy George and Chuck Colson and signed by more than 150 Orthodox, Catholic and evangelical Christian leaders, the Manhattan Declaration was made public at a noon ET press conference held in the Lisagor Room at the National Press Club.

“…We will not comply with any edict that purports to compel our institutions to participate in abortions, embryo-destructive research, assisted suicide and euthanasia, or any other anti-life act; nor will we bend to any rule purporting to force us to bless immoral sexual partnerships, treat them as marriage or the equivalent, or refrain from proclaiming the truth, as we know it, about morality and immorality and marriage and the family.”

American Thinker: The new ruling class

This is an outstanding read.  Not overly long but the author packs a lot of history  in to back his point that today’s new ruling class is much like the one that caused the first American Revolution.  He points out that these classes arise over time if criminals are not checked.   Our American Revolution sparked a back lash against tyranny abroad.  Now the corruption abroad  and the day-to-day dealings of politicians abroad has encouraged those with criminal intent here in the United States.  Perhaps it is time We the People spark another revolution.  Not in blood and guns this time but in forcing compliance with the laws of our land already established but which are disregarded by a select group.

For those of you who do not make the commentaries of American Thinker  part of your daily reading, then you really should.  These are some of the best  minds in the country from all walks of life and not necessarily the time-worn and often inaccurate “expert in the field”.  I have a real problem with “experts” who have usually been self-named “expert” or have gotten that title from other  university-bred self-named “experts”.  Real “experts” don’t mention the fact as it generally doesn’t need mentioning.  BB

FACT CHECK: Obama overlooks some tough realities – Yahoo! News

This is a very good article that takes only 4 statements made by President Obama and blows them away with facts.   The only problem I see is they accuse Obama of being out of touch with reality.  Since that is a given fact and has been true since he first came on the scene as a candidate I do wish these writers would themselves get in touch with reality and state the real facts concerning Obama awareness.

OBAMA: The extra U.S. forces for Afghanistan “will increase our ability to train competent Afghan Security Forces, and to partner with them so that more Afghans can get into the fight. And they will help create the conditions for the United States to transfer responsibility to the Afghans.”

THE FACTS: The problem with Afghan forces is not just their lack of numbers. And it’s not an unwillingness to fight. The problem too often is their effectiveness, once trained for combat. Too many get into the fight but don’t remain or don’t perform.

In fact it is as we have consistently seen Muslims troops  in Muslim countries in every conflict  which they are expected to stand up and fight rather than sneak into a crowd drugged to the gills and blow themselves up so they can get to paradise and those 40 virgins: They  consistently throw down their American made and provided weapons and run!

American troops are very reluctant to have these people at their backs and this is a large part of the morale problem in our military today.  Couple this with the current Commander in Chief and it isn’t hard to understand why the troops feel as they do even when they as the greatest army in the world try desperately to do the job ask of them.
