Napolitano: “The system worked” – POLITICO Live –

Sometimes I find myself rendered speechless at statements made by people who have been given power  in governing this country.  This is one of them.  BB

Napolitano: “The system worked”

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Sunday that the thwarting of the attempt to blow up an Amsterdam-Detroit airline flight Christmas Day demonstrated that “the system worked.”

Asked by CNN’s Candy Crowley on “State of the Union” how that could be possible when the young Nigerian who has been charged with trying to set off the bomb was able to smuggle explosive liquid onto the jet, Napolitano responded: “We’re asking the same questions.”

Napolitano added that there was “no suggestion that [the suspect] was improperly screened.”

Nappy is about as bright as the idiot who hired her in the first place. She and her tagalongs (40 of them) who have absolutely no experience in security or anything closely resembling it wouldn’t know a threat if it blew up in their face.

Is it any wonder we have been waiting for 11 months to get information on her wunderkinders through the FOIA?

Her other remark shows her ginuine stupidity, “It was just one lone person and he was not successful”

I suppose if the airliner had been blow up and all 227 or so passengers and crew had perished, it would have been “just one lone airliner and it was not all that successful”. I suppose it would have been just another man made disaster.

The loonys are running the loony bin.

Yes and I can just see our President coming on TV and making a few inane remarks and maybe a “hands up” or two before mentioning that there was a terrorist attack and 227 people were killed. I am still almost dumbfounded over his treatment of the Fort Hood Massacre. I can not understand how the media could let that one go with so little attention.

The first remark from him was thru his loonies. I have gotten to the point where when I see him I just turn to the next article or channel. BB
