Yet another teachable moment from the “religion of peace.”
The U.S. Army is investigating allegations that five Muslim soldiers attempted to poison the food supply at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. The five, whose first language is Arabic, were reportedly part of the “09 Lima” Arabic Translation program at the base.
Unnamed sources close to the investigation say that the five soldiers, who were arrested just before Christmas, may have been in contact with the five Muslims from the Washington, DC, area who traveled to Pakistan to wage jihad against U.S. soldiers and were arrested by Pakistani authorities, also just before Christmas.
Chris Grey, a spokesman for the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division, said that the ongoing investigation, which began two months ago, is being taken “extremely seriously” by the Army. However, “there is no credible information to support the allegations,” he added.’
Grey would not discuss whether the men remain in custody or have been released.
