The Combined Financial Reform Bill is now  ready and going back to the House and Senate for final approval.  It is a monster designed to allow the federal government to take over the entire financial system which includes your credit cards and check book.  You really need to read these articles yourself to get an idea of what we are in for because sure as Hell is on fire we are going to get slaughtered again.  This bill they say is designed to insure that there will never be another financial crisis, but in reality the bill insures that there will be another!  I guess the line highlighted below from one paragraph  in the article says it all.  BB

But the bill that Congress has produced, which President Obama is eager to sign, did not include any of these measures. Instead, it doubled down on an approach to regulation that has failed in the past and added a number of extraneous provisions besides — such as new price controls on debit-card fees — because the Democrats “never let a serious crisis go to waste.” We’re very glad that negotiators named this bill the Dodd-Frank Act. When the next crisis hits, it will be much easier to hold these men accountable.

Take a look at this and just remember elections in November 2010.
1. U..S. House & Senate have voted themselves $4,700 and $5,300 raises.
2. They voted to NOT give you a S.S. Cost of living raise in 2010 and 2011.
3. Your Medicare premiums will go up $285.60 for the 2-years
4. You will not get the 3% COLA: $660/yr.
5. Your total 2-yr loss and cost is -$1,600 or -$3,200 for husband and wife.
6. Over these same 2-years each Congress person will get $10,000
7. Do you feel used?
8. Will they have your cost of drugs – doctor fees – local taxes – food, etc., decrease?
9. NO WAY.

Congress received a raise and has better health and retirement benefits than you or I.
Why should they care about you?
You never did anything about it in the past.
Charlie, Barney et al care about you?

Send the message to these individuals — “YOU’RE FIRED!”

In 2010 you will have a chance to get rid of the sitting Congress: up to 1/3 of the Senate and 100% of the House!

Make sure you’re still mad in November 2010 and remind their replacements not to screw-up.

It is ok to forward this to your sphere of influence if you are finally tired of the abuse. Maybe it’s time for Amendment 28 to the Constitution.

“Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators or Representatives, and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of theUnited States .”

well I fact check it and it says its false , but how do we know really with this Congress ????

I mean we can’t even trust our Rating Agencies like Moodys , Warren Buffet said to Congress a month ago they should not be held accountable and he owns the agency so should we trust fact check ???

Well, this was an excellent response. Well written, to the point and yes, informative. I’m so happy that others are finally getting it. Yes, I have seen your responses on Brenda’s page before, but this time you out did yourself.

One thing I have wanted to say, and I believe I did post it once before on my blog, and that is, I know everyone says wait until 2010 mid terms, but you know we never had to wait that long or until then. We can actually put recalls into motion, and I think it’s time that we do.

We need to let Barney, and (especially) Nancy, Rangel and Dodd (we don’t have to wait for him to retire) that we mean business. We need to take on the BIG players in order to make the minor players realize that we mean business. Yes, the Dems are scared now, and so are some Rep. but we need to really let them know we mean business.

We need a National ad campaign, on TV and on the Internet to let these people we are coming after them, we are going to get them out of there by recall or votes. But we mean business. It’s time the Tea Party people get a National movement going. I mean we need a BIG national movement up and running to let these people who are now passing more bills in the middle of the night, behind closed doors, that we mean business. ss

Thank you both! Amen! This is monster even worse than Obamacare people. And it is going to pass from all indications with the Democrats so fanatic they are willing to fall on their sword for Obama. After the elections since Obama took office and started his agenda and these fools still think they will get reelected or some high government post from the One if not reelected? Wonder if our Congressmen know the meaning of the word “Suckers”? BB

But really snappy is right because it may be possible to stop Obama care by just plain not funding it if they can’t rescind it. tho it seems to me if they have the votes to stop funding they have the votes to rescind. Anyhow, it may be possible if the right people get in in November to stop Obama care but from what I am reading and hearing this bill is a monster it will be impossible to stop once passed. I don’t understand why but I’m sure the experts who are saying this know more about what the bill will do to the financial industry even short term than I do. BB

What is sad about these morons in Congress is that they don’t even know how the bill will be implimented and then they say that they don’t even know if it will work.

Well if they don’t know how it will be implimented why are they passing it? Please, I’m so frustrated with these inept people that I can hardly see straght.

We need help and fast. Where are the Tea Party People? What are they up to? This bill needs to be stopped before they pass it. ss

Snappy I am afraid it will take a bomb to stop this because the three Republican traitors are on board (Scott Brown, Olivia Snow and the other one from Maine, I forget her name. The $19 Billion bank tax was taken out so Brown said okay. The money is instead coming from the TARP funds which were supposed to go back to the Treasury if not spent and instead became Obama’s slush fund. BB

Brenda

You made a comment about “if they can stop funding the bill then they should be able to rescind it”. I didn’t quote exactly but that was the implication. Well, you may know, but I can’t ever remember Congress rescind a law that was already passed and basically already implimented, do you recall any?

The fact is, it’s easier to “not fund” a law than to rescind it I think. I think it involves less arguing and less time to just not fund it. What do you think? ss

Right off I can not think of a bill that was rescinded and would have to do some research as I am sure there have been some. I know of bills that have been changed with legislation that contradicted the wording of the original bill. This course may be used here but the bill is so huge and so much is covered by it that it would take decades to dig thru and weed out those portions that need to be changed. The thing with just not funding is that the bill is left in effect just waiting for funding. This bill has to be killed dead and gone! or we will have it hanging over our heads just waiting for another fanatical or stupid Congress. Getting a bill that is already on the books is much easier than getting a bill passed. BB

Was Roe vs Wade rescinded at any time? I thought maybe it had been because there has always been so much controversy over it.

I thought it would be difficult to have a bill rescinded, maybe not though. I guess I just can not remember any bill that I can think of, beding rescinded.

I’ll try and find out. ss

No, Roe vs Wade has been cussed and discussed from the beginning but never touched beyond that on a federal level. Many states, in fact most states have tried to limit the law as much as possible however without actually outlawing abortion all together. BB
