And So I Go: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

Energy Independence? Perhaps.

Posted on: January 29, 2011

I am watching the happenings in the Middle East very closely for one reason:  this may be the event that will force our government to finally allow the United States to use our own energy resources and become energy independent.  The day of the United States, or any other country for that matter, controlling the Middle East is long over.  First the West controlled the Middle East by taking them over, then the West bought them off and backed the tyrants who were in power all for oil.  That day is gone because the people are now aware of the rest of the world: the nasty voice of the people again called the Internet!  We can no longer own, buy, back or beg, borrow and steal their oil.  We will have to deal for it and the dealing will not be to our liking.  The dealing will most likely be with a Muslim leadership.  If the United States is to survive then we must rely on our own resources.   We have enough oil and coal to carry us into the next century when I feel sure our advances in knowledge will have advanced to the point of giving us a stable alternate source of energy.

This may bee one of the most important historic  turning points in history.  Interesting.  BB

Dam! I am not at all a fan of Green Energy as they are right now and pushing for subsidies that we simply can not afford. Am so discussed with the ethanol thing! This program has done so much harm and raised the prices of food so high for no good reason. Ethanol has proven to take 1 2/3 times more oil energy to make for God’s sake and still the fools persist.

I am however very much for green energy down the line and when we have the technology. i am all for allowing the free market to find and provide the green energy. this is not a function of the federal government! BB

As long as the “Idiot in Chief” sits in the WH we will remain dependent on foreign oil for energy. The day the fool said, “No more drilling off the coast” the price started going up and it ain’t stopped yet.
The new folks in the House, if they have the guts , need to overturn his BS executive order on NO DRILLING since it is not worth the paper it is written on, then KILL FUNDING of the EPA and DRILL BABY DRILL and tell Obummer, to ride in the back of the bus.
Until then look for higher prices.
