The following dialog was a comment on my post  CBO says taxpayers on the hook for Financial Bail Outs Forever While President lies to Wall Street and Public .  I am bringing to a post of it’s own because Sandy has a great deal to say.  Of course she has her own blog (snappysandy ) which I hope you all will start visiting, but she also speaks up on my blog and for that I am grateful.  This woman is feisty and  smart and angry.  Our country needs more like her.  Be especially careful in reading the last comment she made and that I have highlighted.  BB

  1. This has always been the plan. Many people seem to think that there is no, nor ever was a conspiracy. Yet, I feel that this may not be true. If you would look at what has happened in only a year and a half, you will see that this administration has literally destroyed just about every aspect of the American way of life, and nobody is doing anything to stop it.

You can say the Tea Party people are standing up to the Congress. I say, Big Deal, it’s all talk and no action, accept on Obama’s part.

It amazes me how things are happening at warp speed on the destruction side of the playing field and as slow as can be on the other side of the field where the Constitution backers stand. A turtle could move faster than those who are actually protesting all the wrong doing in Congress.

Yet has anyone noticed these morons are still at it. Nothing is stopping them. They are still feverishly working on taking down the rest of the government and they have a deadline of the mid-term election.

The Republicans and the Independents will still be having there little town hall meetings and Tea Parties, but it will be of no consequence because the damage will be done and irreversible.

  2. So what do you suggest people do Snappy? Drop a bomb on the Capital Building perhaps? Or maybe the White House?

The Democrats control Congress and Obama is in the White House. this is a fact. And they know they have only until November to get their dirty deeds done because after this show the Democrats will be a long time getting a majority in congress again. Until the Republicans take back congress there is no possibility of doing anything to change what is happening. Then there still won’t be enough Republicans to repeal health care or any other program. BUT there will be enough to stop funding on these programs. Unfortunately both parties gave Obama a slush fund with the Stimulus Bill and the huge Budget last year so he can move ahead on a great deal without congress. This is why they are pushing for the Financial Reform bill because it gives the Treasury Secretary almost unlimited power to spend this money any way he wants to. After 2012 the Congress and President will have a real mess to clean up. I think however that it won’t be business as usual in Washington. I think all the new federal employees hired to fill the 121 new agencies for Health Care reform will be fired and the agencies shut down. I believe the departments of Education will be shut down and go back to the states. I believe the heavy grants programs will be eliminated and any funds in department slush funds for these grants will be used to pay our debts. We just have to make sure we get the right tough people in office in both Congress and especially the President. No more mistakes like Scott Brown (tho we had to go with him because the other was so much worse). BB

  3. Brenda, you must have had a rough day. No, I would not ever suggest that violence is the answer, because it isn’t. The Tea Party people and the peaceful rallies they have been holding are the best example of how “the People” can let their voices be heard.I am frustrated with how slow justice works. We need a lot more action, like the Democrats are putting forth.

We need to Nationalize the Tea Party movement. I don’t mean back any particular candidate, nor do I mean start a 3rd Party. What I mean is Nationalize the Tea Party, have a National plan involving all the Tea Party groups. We need to raise Money for ads, we need to inundate the Internet with web sites, blogs, ads, Articles encouraging, and asking people, to join us, help us take back America. We need a Political machine like Obama has. It can be done, we just need to raise the awareness and encourage others to join.

We need the Young Republicans to go out and get more young Republicans to join the Party. We need Tea Party people to make a genuine effort to get friends, family and neighbors to join the Tea Party movement.

They are doing a good job and in a peaceful, manner and this is the way we need to continue, but with more vigor.

We need to make it clear that people, all people need to stand together to take back the idea of an America where all people are Free.

We need to make it clear to everyone on the Right (which have been very slow to move) and the Independents, that there is no more time. Time is running out. If we are to win in November, we need a lot more action. We need to bring together Nationally the brainpower, the idea people, the ad groups to remind people that the job won’t get done unless they all get involved and help.

I just think we need to make everyone aware of the fact that TIME is of the essence, and from now until November it is the most important factor in reversing the damage that has already been done, and it’s the only “constant” in the whole game. It’s like a like a Football game, you play until the clock runs out, then who ever has t he most points wins.

This is the game of a lifetime. This is the Championship game of all games to be played in this country. The clock is ticking, and who ever has the most voters on their side wins in November. Election day the game is over. I certainly want the American people to win this one.

There has finally been a survey made of Tea Party Patriots themselves asking what changes they want.    This needed to be done so the various groups can coordinate their efforts.  I am proud to say I am a Tea Party Patriot and for the most part agree with the majority on all the questions asked.  BB

Study of Tea Party Activists Reveals Motivations of Political Movement

by Publius “The Early Adopters” Report uncovers that most oppose a third party, many are new to politics

CHICAGO, — A new study released today reveals that Tea Party activists are motivated by feelings of responsibility to future generations and belief in America’s founding principles, but still struggle with questions of leadership and identity. The study conducted by Sam Adams Alliance, The Early Adopters: Reading the Tea Leaves, also reveals that Tea Party activists are a diverse group trying – often for the first time – to change the political landscape by holding elected officials more accountable. The results of the full report can be found at

The Sam Adams report offers the first-ever insights into the Tea Party movement that include a survey sample made up entirely of recognized Tea Party activists.

“A lot of surveys have focused on the Tea Party movement, but they’ve been about what others think of them, and don’t reveal the motives of actual Tea Partiers,” said Sam Adams Alliance chairman Eric O’Keefe. “We decided to learn what the Tea Party leaders are up to the old fashioned way: We asked them.”

The findings confirm that a large number of Tea Party activists are politically involved for the first time. 47 percent of activists surveyed said that they were “uninvolved” or “rarely involved” in politics before their participation in Tea Party groups.

Three political issues stood out as being the most important to Tea Party activists. When asked which issues were “very important” to them, 92 percent said “budget,” 85 percent said

“economy,” and 80 percent said “defense.” No respondents listed social issues as an “important direction” for the movement.

Other findings of the study include:

86 percent oppose the formation of a third-party.
36 percent support a 2012 Sarah Palin Presidential candidacy.
81 percent have a website for their organization.
90 percent cited “to stand up for my beliefs” when characterizing their initial reason for involvement.
62 percent identified as Republicans, 28 percent as Independents, 10 percent as “Tea Party”

» Our Time for Choosing – Big Government A Time to Choose because “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” George Santayana

This is a must read.  I cried as I read this essay to our living Patriots.  I cried because it is so beautifully written and I cried because We living American patriots took so long to awake that we just may not win this war against evil.  We have allowed it to dig so deep into the body of our society that rooting it out will take a great effort and a very firm resolve.  I cried because it happened when we forgot our history and who we are.  BB

Our Time for Choosing

by Andrew Mellon

You and I have a rendezvous with destiny.  We’ll preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we’ll sentence them to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness.

Ronald Reagan spoke these words some forty-six years ago in his famous “A Time for Choosing” speech.  Tragically, today in America it appears the time for choosing is fast passing. As each day goes by our debt grows more untenable; our security more imperiled; our economy more shackled; our government more tyrannical.

These are symptoms of an America that has chosen the wrong path.  We lost our way on the road to civilization, veering onto the road to serfdom. Our plight is the result of a hundred-plus year campaign by the socialist sophists to slowly but surely undermine the bedrock principles on which we had built our strength.

While the ends of a nation are peace, prosperity and culture, from our founding there was a dichotomy of opinion as to how best to achieve these ends.  It was not merely a matter of state versus federal or small versus big government.  Rather, at its core the split rested and continues to rest upon embracing liberty or embracing tyranny.

As the underappreciated French Political Economist Frédéric Bastiat argued, “The state is the great fictitious entity by which everyone seeks to live at the expense of everyone else.” James Madison in an equally cynical but less damning statement asserted,

If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself.

Put another way, the great challenge of government is that while in forming it we grant man privileges to protect our natural rights, it proves difficult enough for man to govern himself let alone others. Thus, in devising a governmental system, our founders set up a Constitution of diffuse powers confined to explicit spheres.  This was to ensure that the majority of power rested with the states or the people.

As our country aged, the state increasingly stripped us of our rights instead of securing them. Government grew whilst the individual shrunk. Whereas the law was meant to protect against the diminution of man, instead it was used as an instrument to plunder him. As Bastiat shrewdly posited in The Law back in 1848, plunder can be committed in an infinite number of ways. Thus we have an infinite number of plans for organizing it: tariffs, protection, benefits, subsidies, encouragements, progressive taxation, public schools, guaranteed jobs, guaranteed profits, minimum wages, a right to relief, a right to the tools of labor, free credit, and so on, and so on. All these plans as a whole — with their common aim of legal plunder — constitute socialism.

If only this message had resonated.

We lovers of liberty allowed for the planting of these seeds of our destruction. We have always had the better ideas, but too often failed to adequately defend them. Our ideological counterparts, realizing that they could not win on substance propagandized through academia and the media, and co-opted the poorest and the richest in their lust to undermine our rights for their personal gain.

Anecdotally, we can see a clear difference in the logical ends of the policies the statists espouse.  It is instructive to look at the experience of those in East and West Germany before the fall of the Berlin Wall (well-documented on pages 33-37 here).  Similarly, if we compare and contrast the liberal urban areas in America with the more conservative suburban ones, in many instances we see a clear difference in wealth, safety and overall quality of life, which is incidentally ironic given that it is often the suburban areas that subsidize their urban neighbors.  Yet even with this stark difference in results, somehow we have succumbed to the path to barbarism.

Perhaps one of the reasons for our loss in the war of ideas is that while the battle lines are clear, we have not sufficiently articulated the virtues of our side. The following questions are exemplary of our divide, and were Americans to consider their implications in context of our political system, I believe support for the left would wither. Do Americans believe in private self-reliance or public largess? Do we believe in meritocracy or thugocracy? Do we reward success or failure? Do we stand upright or bow to the world? Do we wish to return America to fiscal order, or condemn future generations to debt slavery? Do we believe that solutions come through the ingenuity and toil of the American people, or from faceless bureaucrats in Washington? Do we wish to be the shining beacon of civilization, or a mere footnote in a history book?  Do we believe in the individual, innovation, morality and the spontaneous and organic harmony of freedom or the collective, backward, perverted morality and destitution of centrally planned servitude?

The people of this nation know that the progress of man has always come from the individual, free to question, experiment and fail. In fact, it is often out of failure that opportunity arises. Our nation was built on principles the founders gleaned from their studies of the failures of their predecessors. They understood that powerful centralized government could never advance man, but only restrain him.  They understood that the sole purpose of government was to protect man from the tyranny of others and that of government itself.  This was to be achieved by building a foundation based on property rights and the rule of law, a foundation that would allow man to flourish.  Sadly, generation after generation, we have allowed our government to usurp more and more of our freedom — to steal from us the life, liberty and property that make us people.  In our quiescence, we have given politicians sanction to weaken our constitution and dehumanize us.

But just as failures created the conditions for the founders to build this nation, so too have failures created an opportunity for us to refound it.  Today we have a populace galvanized against our largely corrupt stewards. We must avail ourselves of this opportunity to educate a captive audience on history, on principles and on the ideals that we have allowed to grow decadent. In the meantime in trying to roll back years of ideological subversion that have numbed Americans to truth and morality, we must elect officials who will stop government from expanding.  Then, we must go to work in stripping it back to the bare bones ascribed to it in our Constitution.

In order to achieve this monumental task, we will need to seek out candidates who are unafraid of the censorship that is political correctness; who understand that the state is always to be subservient to the individual; who are willing to abide by principle even if it means political pain.  In other words, we will have to find patriots who stand to gain little from serving in government, the very people who have traditionally avoided serving in it.

This battle will take many, many years, and there is no guarantee of success.  But difficult as the struggle may be, appeasement and the middle path will surely lead to failure.  Reagan understood this when it came to the Cold War.  He argued,

every lesson of history tells us that the greater risk lies in appeasement, and this is the specter our well-meaning liberal friends refuse to face—that their policy of accommodation is appeasement, and it gives no choice between peace and war, only between fight or surrender. If we continue to accommodate, continue to back and retreat, eventually we have to face the final demand—the ultimatum.

Reagan further noted as to a policy of appeasement that, “You and I know and do not believe that life is so dear and peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery.”  One might add that chains and slavery will never lead to a dear life or sweet peace.

We must fight another war against our ostensibly well-meaning liberal friends, a war on ideological grounds in the political arena.  We must express to all those who cherish this country that nothing less than our existence rests upon our fight against the tyranny of our democracy.  Our state is a Leviathan, hurtling towards fiscal and moral bankruptcy and war.  History will either remember us as the generation that twiddled our fingers while Rome burned, or the underdogs who overcame great evil to return this nation to its rightful place as a shining city on a hill.

We may lie very close to the precipice today, but it is still our duty to make the proper choice.  We must choose to fight the fight for civilization or risk dishonoring our founders, enslaving our children and debauching our once great nation.  If we choose rightly, we will either save our country from impending collapse or build a contingent strong enough to rise from its ashes. In a world being terrorized by the twin tentacles of socialism and Islamism, we still remain the last best hope of man on Earth.

May God forgive us for forgetting.  I believe that He sent Americans a very special group of men in the beginning  because Americans were very special people.  Americans were people who were brave enough to leave the safety of the known and go bravely into the unknown to carve out for themselves their own destiny.  We  who were handed this gift somehow over the last century forgot who were were and who we are  to be in the history of man kind.   Americans are the last hope for mankind!    We can not be defeated from with out, but only from within.   If we allow ourselves to be pulled down by the evil that has infiltrated our society then there is nowhere for our divine souls to exist in this world.  They will depart and humanoids will  sink into the darkness of bestiality.  BB

The following is the events calendar for September 24, 2009 of organizations all over the nation who are against what is happening in our country.  I have never in my life seen this.  it is of course because of the Internet and people being able to connect with others who think the same way.  If you live in any of these cities then by all means join the group.  BB

Facing more heated questions, Specter tries humor – Yahoo! News

So  former Republican and now Democrat Senator Specter thinks the crowds coming to townhall meetings and then standing outside in the hot August weather to protest Washington spending and specifically the Obamacare fiasco  are “not necessarily representative of America,” does he?  Well hold onto your hat Senator because these people are coming to Washington in September.

More than 400 people packed into a Penn State University ballroom Wednesday morning, with hundreds more outside after being turned away from the filled-to-capacity room. As in previous stops, opponents occasionally drowned out the Republican-turned-Democrat.

Earlier Wednesday, Specter said on CBS’ “The Early Show” that he thinks people who have been angrily disrupting town hall meetings across the nation are “not necessarily representative of America,” but should be heard.

“Traditionally people who come to town meetings have objections,” Specter said after the State College event. “They may not be representative of America, but they are significant, and their views have to be taken into account.”

The bitter sessions underscored the challenge for President Barack Obama and congressional Democrats as they try to win over an increasingly skeptical public on the far-reaching task of revamping the nation’s health care system that could costs billions of dollars.

to see a list of the official Tea Party organizations around the country.  there may be one near you.   I have never in my life seen anything like this movement.   I lived thru the Vietnam War Protests and the Civil Rights Protest.  This is bigger than those two put together as far as protest movements.  The only difference is that these protests are more civil.  The hostilities did not start until after the White House called out it’s thugs to go and “disrupt the meetings”.  BB

RealClearPolitics – Have You Heard Ken Gladney’s Story?

This is not necessarily news anymore since we Americans who still value liberty and the Bill of Rights  are well aware of who and what has been denigrating us, but the columnist names names and reminds us that we the Tea Party Patriots  are  alone in our battle for the soul of the United States.  We are up against the President, the Congress and the Main Stream Media who support them regardless of the lies, corruption and thuggish behaviors used to attain their agenda.    Good read.  Good reminder!  BB

Tea Party Patriots Home Page

A call to all Americans:  we must take our country back from the scourge called Obama.   Change is what he promised and change indeed is what we are getting as he and his cohorts set about destroying America and giving up our sovereignty to the United Nations.

Transparency is what Obama  promised but this is the nation’s darkest hour for blatant underhanded thuggery in our Congress and certainly in the White House.  If you have been reading this blog you know the methods used to push legislation thru without allowing our Congressmen time to read what they are voting on.  No one has had the time to read the fine print and this is where the subversive laws and funding are located.  Even the unelected czars that Obama has appointed have had to admit that they haven’t read all of the legislation pertaining to the programs they are to oversee.  Saying, “Well I have read the major parts of the bill and I understand the overall program” is just plain irresponsible.  But this is how things are being done in Washington today as the unparalleled deficit spending continues to be rammed down our throats.

You are also aware of how the Democrats in Congress who have a majority so there is no need for them to use outright unethical trickery to get their ways but that is exactly what they did with the Defense Spending bill.    The Republicans planned to add an amendment to the bill that ACORN not be given any federal funds since they are under indictment for voter registration fraud in several states. ( ACORN is slated to get $8.5 billion to hire workers for the 2010 Census.)  The Democrats leadership closed the voting for the day and the Republican House Representatives went home.  but the Democrats didn’t go home and the House Speaker Pelosi open the floor for voting and the spending bill was passed with no amendments stopping agencies  or organizations under investigation being prohibited from receiving your tax dollars. AND,  ACORN received another $64 billion in the Defense Spending Bill!

I read a  transcript of a discussion with Helen Thomas, veteran White House correspondent who has covered every President since Kennedy.  She was decrying the  “controlling of the press” as being the worst she has ever seen.

Go to the Tea Party Patriots hame page and find a Tea Party rally near you and spend your Independence Day celebrating by demanding we get our independence back form big brother government.
